Nathan Makoul Haddad was born on December 23, 1889 in Jib Jannine, Lebanon. He and
Rasheedeh Saab Akroush were married on February 23, 1917 in Sioux City, IA. He and
Sarah Emma David were married on December 19, 1919 in Sioux City, Iowa. He and
Bessie Abraham were married in December 1964 in Charleston, WV. He died on May 11, 1980, at age 90, in Charleston, WV.
Nathan, the fourth son of Makoul (Michael) and Miriam (Mary) Nasser Haddad, was born in Jib Jannine, Lebanon on 12/23/1889. He came to America in 1909 and began back-peddling with his brother James, working their way along the railroad tracks and river. He also worked for a while in a packing house in Sioux City, Iowa, and it was there that he married Rasheedeh "Nellie" Saab Akroush, 2/23/1917. Upon returning to Clothier, WV, he worked with his brothers in the Haddad's store there and eventually established a store in Madison, WV.
His wife, Nellie, who was born in Jib Jannine, Lebanon in 1895, died in the flu epidemic of 1918, leaving an infant daughter, Mary Frances.
Upon returning to Sioux City for a visit, Nathan met and married Sarah David, 12/19/1919. They had two sons, Frederick Lawrence & Nathan, Jr., who were born in Clothier, and a daughter, Virginia Lee, who was born in Madison.
He also married Bessie Dawood Haddad, widow of Sam Haddad, in December 1964.
At the time of his death, he was living with his daughter, Mary Frances & Tom Ellis in Madison, WV, and he died in Charleston, WV, 5/11/1980, at the age of 90.

Simon Haddad was born in 1881 in Jib Jannine, Lebanon. He died in July 1964, at age ~83, in Beckley, WV.
Simon, the oldest son of Makoul, and his brother Joseph came to America probably in 1900 or 1901. They peddled throughout WV, and finally opened a "ladies and gents" store in Clothier. He moved to Charleston in the early 1920s and operated a vegetable market there. A number of years later, he moved to Florida where his wife eventually died. After becoming ill, Simon returned to WV and died in Beckley.

Amelia Helen Gossen were married on May 19, 1918 in Sioux City, IA. He died on May 6, 1964, at age 77, in Beckley, WV.
Joseph, the second son of Makoul, came to America with his brother, Simon, and became a citizen in 1915. He peddled throughout southern West Virginia, and many times he would eat meals and stay in people's homes which were offered by the gracious people of WV.
Another source (Tanious) said that he married Amelia in O'Neil, Nebraska. He moved to Charleston around 1922, and in 1926, he opened a store in Whitesville called "Haddad's". He moved to Madison in 1936, and then to Beckley in 1940, where he operated several different businesses. He was also one of the founders of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Beckley.

Radwan Haddad was born in Jib Jannine, Lebanon. He and
Sadie Ayash were married (1880 or 81.) He died in 1932 in Jib Jannine, Lebanon.
The fourth son of Suleyman & Sada Haddad. Radwan and brother-in-law, Joseph Ayash, emigrated to the U.S. after the birth of his son, George Haddad, leaving his wife & children behind. They returned to the Old Country around 1903, but sailed again to the U.S. in 1904, after the birth of Tonas. This time he took his oldest child, Sam, with him, but again leaving behind his wife, and sons, George, & Tonas. They made a living raising wheat from a parcel of land. George also was a part-time carpenter, but he injured his leg which made him limp the rest of his life.
When World War I started in 1914, Radwan left his residence in Clothier, WV, and returned to the Old Country. After Sadie died in 1920, Radwan remarried, and then, in 1932, he died of a heart attack.
