Sadie Ayash was born in Ain Arab, Lebanon. She and Radwan Haddad were married (1880 or 81.) She died in 1920 in Jib Jannine, Lebanon.

The youngest of 5 sisters and 1 brother.
Sadie raised her children while Radwan made several trips to America to work. In 1920, she travelled 6 miles alone and on foot to visit her relatives in her home town of Ain-Arab. After returning home, she became sick and died four days later.

First sister: Mariana Ayash married Mr. Whiby in Ain-Arab and had three or four sons and two daughters (most came to the US)---Joseph, George, Charles, Mary Whiby Abdnoor, and ? and ?. Mary Abdnoor settled in South Dakota and had a son, James Abdnoor who was elected a Congressman and a Senator.

Second sister: Sabat (Elizabeth) Ayash married Mr. Stephan and had many relatives living in western states like Iowa, Arkansas and Nebraska.

Third sister: Barbara Ayash married Mr. Nimea and had only one daughter who came to this country after the war of 1914. Shde resided with her husband in Oklahoma.

Fourth sister: Mary Ayash married Mr. Atyah and had one daughter.

One brother who was a Priest and had three sons.

Tonas left Lebanon in 1923, went to Cuba, and was finally allowed to enter the U.S. in 1929 on a student visa. He graduated from Scott High School in Madison, WV, and attended Charleston High School for two more years.

In 1936, the government ordered him to leave the US, so he went back to Cuba. He eventually came back to the US and died in Florida.

Bessie Abraham was born on May 17, 1897 in Charleston, WV. She and Sam Haddad were married in 1922 in La Crosse, WI. She died in July 1972, at age 75, in South Charleston, WV.
